Autistic People Practical Sessions 30 minutes

What to do when you are experiencing suicidal thoughts
This practical session aims to allow you to make a plan for what to do if you experience suicidal thoughts.

Energy accounting
Energy accounting involves working out which activities drain you of energy and which activities recharge you so you can ensure your days are balanced and you are less likely to experience burnout.

Picture Joy journaling
You will be able to decorate and design your own journal and learn the benefits of completing positive journaling prompts.

Completing individual emotion, behaviour, and body wheels
In this workshop, you will be able to describe how your body responds to certain emotions and how your behaviour changes to support you with emotional recognition.

Sensory first aid kits
In this workshop, you will create a bag containing sensory items to help ground yourself. You will be provided with sensory aids (e.g., poppets), sweets, aromatherapy, musical items, and a chance to write an affirmation.

Hope jars
In this workshop, you will decorate a jar and fill it with things and words that make you feel hopeful.

Hope mapping
In this workshop, we will plan for the future by working out what you would like to achieve and working out how to remove any barriers in place.

Affirmations
In this workshop, you will learn how to write and use your own affirmation cards.

Joy Calendar
In this session, you will learn how to plan for moments of joy within your weekly schedule and will take away your own wall calendar filled with joyful activities.
